Questions we are often asked

Do you make custom cake orders?

Yes we do! We specialize in custom orders and enjoy doing them. The whole premise of a custom order is that we do for you just what you had in mind for whatever your special occasion might be. We take custom orders in cakes, cookies, cake pops, cheesecakes, and so much more! With our custom orders we require a pre-order be placed as well as a deposit be payed of at least 50% of the total cost of the order.


How much notice is required for a custom order?

​Custom orders fill up fast! They are on a first come first serve basis; therefore as much notice as possible will increase chances of availability. As a general rule, at least one week notice at the minimum. The sooner you order the better! When in doubt order early! But if you forgot and need something, give us a call and see if we are available but please understand that we might already be fully booked.


Can I place a custom order online?

No, custom orders cannot be taken over online. But we would love to communicate with you about your custom order over email, in most cases an order is not official until there is an a phone call or an in person meeting where the deposit is payed and the order is finalized. 


Do you offer wedding cake tastings?

Yes we do. Give us a call about scheduling a tasting. We offer tastings on select days. We ask for a $10 deposit to book the tasting and if you save the date with us that amount will be deducted from your total cost. The tasting comes with 3 flavors for two people. If you desire any other flavors they can purchased from the case the day of the appointment. 


Do we offer gluten-free items?

Yes we do! Most days our case includes gluten-free peanut butter cookies. With that in mind, most other gluten-free items are available via custom orders. Through custom order we offer gluten-free cookies, cupcakes, cakes, and pies. 


Do you accommodate dairy and egg allergies?

Yes, to the best of our abilities, but these items are only available through custom orders. 


Do you accommodate nut allergies?

We are not a nut free facility but we do have many items in which nuts are not included. If you have a nut allergy and would like to purchase from us we would love to do our best to keep your items as nut free as possible. With that in mind we cannot guarantee that any of our items are completely nut free. 


Do you make bread? 

We make bread seasonally; therefore, it cannot be expected to be regularly found in our case. 


Can I make changes or cancel my custom order?

You can make changes or cancel your order up to 72 hours before pickup of your order. If you cancel your order before the 72 hour mark your deposit will be refunded but if you cancel after your deposit will not be refunded.


What is the best way to transport my custom cake?

Always drive with care, break easy and avoid sharp turns. Store your cake on a flat surface such as the trunk or the floor board. With this in mind please do not put your cake in the seat, this allows for the cake to slide around. 


What should I do with my cake when I get home?

It is always important to remember that your cake is made of some kind of icing. Icing will melt under the right conditions. To prevent this it is ideal to store in a room temperature location that is cool. It is not usually necessary to put your cake in the refrigerator if you are going to be eating your cake 24 hours after leaving the store. But if your cake contains fondant you cannot put your cake in the fridge. Fondant will melt in the fridge and potentially ruin your cake.
